Week 4 2013

  1. Good God woman! Is it completely beyond you to post a bad photograph?
    There are ALL sensational!
Love Jacksons little sideways glance at Elijah in the first one, and he looks JUST like Shaun in the second. Two absolutely gorgeous portraits of Indigo and a bonus cute selfie of you. Love! The bright colour pop of Jacksons shorts in that lush rainforest landscape is pretty nice too. Great week, great shots, but we've come to not expect anything less :)

  2. Oh Rachael, if it is even possible I feel that this year you are extending yourself even more! How can your already fabulous photos keep getting better? The first shot is completely photo-frame worthy. Even if it was a dodgy shot I would hang it on the wall for the mere fact that you have all of them in the frame AND they are holding hands. A sweet, sweet shot. Jackson's puckered lips/sunnies shot - fabulous and funny! and that water shot of Indigo is so peaceful and beautiful. I am trying to work out if you were in the water with your camera for that shot or not? knowing which kind of lenses you use most of the time, I am guessing you were in the water??
beautiful light-filled moments this week. Love them all.

    1. Thanks for the love Amber! For the water shot, I had the 50mm on and yes I was in the water, holding the camera just above the waterline - it gives Shawn a heart attack ;) It was still water though and I wasn't very deep, so I could lift the camera away from splashing kids pretty quickly. I would love to do some underwater photos with the good camera, one day...

  3. Love that second shot of Jackson. The colors are just fantastic! You always have such beautiful color in your pictures. Wish you could pop to my side of the world and teach me your secrets. :-). On second thought it's much more beautiful where you live, so I wish I could pop to YOUR side of the world so you could teach me your secrets. Hee,he. Seriously, the scenery in these photos is absolutely gorgeous! Over here we are stuck in the l o n g grey days of winter, and I am so ready to see the sun. Thank you for sharing your beautiful pictures with us!

  4. You are simply a genius... I´m really sad that you are not living close to me so that I could learn from you. My skills are really bad. Sometimes there is a lovely pic... I mean the quality not the moment I captured... but when I see how it turned out I´m quite frustrated! I think I should make some training concerning photography!
I love every single photo... best job!

    1. Yes Tallebudgera, great spot for a still water swim, either side. We haven't been back since these photos were taken, so I hope it is recovering. The rockpools are at a park on the way to Natural Bridge at Springbrook. I can't remember what it is called, but it is a big playground and picnic stop just before you get to Natural Bridge. It is a really pretty area, especially after rain when it is all green. I would LOVE to give the underwater casing a go!! I'll FB you. Thanks :)
